“Medical Supply Chain Shortage”

2D Mixed Media Explainer

Tools used:Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Audacity

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) requested a video to educate audiences how medical supply chain shortages can occur as a result of outside events, during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The approach to this animation was to combine 2D graphic elements and stock images to create a mixed-media art style. Graphic elements and textures were created in Illustrator and After Effects, while the stock images were collected through online libraries such as Freepik and Adobe Stock. Photoshop was for separating different elements from master images and masking.
